Ljubomir Stajić, Ph.D., Full Professor

Born on June 28, 1960 in Inđija, Republic of Serbia. He graduated from the School of Civil Defence in 1983 where he also received his masters degree in 1987 (thesis: “The Role of Mass Antitank Weapons in a Self-Defence War”) and Ph.D. degree in 1991 (dissertation: “Preparation of a Municipality for the Armed Conflict and Non-Armed Resistance to Aggression in Self-Defence Wars with Reference to Development of Modern Weapons”). He worked at the same School from 1984 to 1994, first as the assistant, then the assistant lecturer and since 1991 as the assistant professor for the course in Contemporary Means of Warfare.

From 1994 to the end of 2003 he worked at the Police Academy in Belgrade where he was elected for the assistant professor in 1994, promoted to associate professor in 1996, and to full professor in 2001 for the course in Fundamentals of Security. He taught two courses at the postgraduate course at the Academy: Security and Organization and Management of Police Force.

From the first of January 2004 he is working at the Law Faculty in Novi Sad where he was elected to full professor. On basic studies at the Faculty of Low in Novi Sad, he teaches courses in Security System, Security Culture and Security Management. On Master studies on General Legal Studies and Internal Affairs Studies he teaches courses in System of Protection of Persons and Objects, Control of Security Services and System of Protection of Property and Business. On Doctoral studies, Public Law, on the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad, he teaches Theory of Security Studies – detail course. Since 2007 he is the dean of finance.

Professor Stajić is author/coauthor of more then 20 books and over 80 others academic and professional papers or articles.

Several times he was a mentor and committee member to the candidates for the preparation and defense of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.

He was the head of the three research projects.
