Senad Jašarević, Full Professor

Senad Jašarević was born on January 5, 1963 in Novi Sad. He received his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees at the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad.
He is a full professor of Labor Law, and teaches Social Law, Trade Union Law, EU Labor and Social Law, Collective Labor Law, and International Labor Law. At the Faculty, he held the position of Vice Dean for Finance for two terms from 2002-2007. From 2018 to 2020, he was the president of the Association for Labor Law and Social Insurance of Serbia, and now he is the president of the board of the Association. He was a member of the Working Group for the Reform of Labor Legislation (Rеpublic of Serbia), the Provincial Employment Council (of which he is still a member), the Provincial Council for Gender Equality, the Republic Council for Gender Equality, the Expert Council for Legal and Economic Sciences of AP Vojvodina, President of the Committee for Statutory Issues of the University of Novi Sad, President of the Ethics Committee of the University. He has been a conciliator with the Republic Agency for the Peaceful Settlement of Labor Disputes since 2005. He is a member of the board of the International Association for Education in Labor Law, the Restatement of Labor Law in Europe Group (of the European Labor Law Network), the European Center for Expertise in Labor Law, Employment and Employment Policy (EU expert body). He teaches for doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law in Mostar.

He participated in the work of the Working Group of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of the RS, which prepared drafts: the Law on Prevention of Harassment at Work (2010), the Law on Volunteering (2010), the Law on Amendments to the Law on Peaceful Settlement of Labor Disputes (2009), the Law on Strike. He was a member of the working group that drafted the Decision on Gender Equality, which was passed by AP Vojvodina in 2003. As an expert, he was invited to the consultative sessions of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Serbia. He has been engaged in projects of the International Labor Organization several times and he is a member of the CEELex group ILO (The Central Eastern European Labour Legislation database).

He is the author of over a hundred professional papers in the field of labor law and social law that have been published in domestic and international journals, textbooks, monographs. He has been abroad several times at congresses, study stays or trainings: Budapest (Hungary) 1998, Stockholm (Sweden) 2002, Berlin (Germany) 2003, Pécs (Hungary) 2003, Cluj (Romania) 2004, Lisbon (Portugal) 2004, 2016, Bologna (Italy) 2005, Maribor (Slovenia) (2005), Paris (France) 2006, Frankfurt an der Oder (Germany) 2007, Dublin (Ireland) 2008, Brussels (Belgium) 2009, 2010, 2015, 2016, Amsterdam Netherlands) 2010, Seville (Spain) 2011, Turin (Italy) 2013, 2015, The Hague (Netherlands) 2014, 2015, Tirana (Albania) 2017, Frankfurt (Germany) 2017, 2018, 2018, 2019. At the conferences in Lisbon (2016), Brussels (2017), Tirana (2017), Frankfurt (2018), Budapest (2019) had presentations in English.

He is married and has two children. He speaks English and French.
