Born in Kotor in 1975. He graduated from the Novi Sad Faculty of Law in 1999. During 1999 and 2000 he clerked at the Municipal Court of Novi Sad. In 2000 he was elected for the position of assistant for the Criminal Law course and was promoted in 2004. He received his LL.M. degree from the Novi Sad Faculty of Law in 2003 having defended thesis “Criminal Measures of Mandatory Psychiatric Hospitalization in Criminal Legal System of Yugoslavia”. He participated at two international academic meetings in Novi Sad in 2004 and in Timisoare in 2005. In 2006 he defended his doctoral dissertation "Insanity".

He stayed at the University of Passau (Germany) in 2003 and at Bauhaus University in Weimar (Germany) in 2004 in order to improve German language skills. In 2004 he stayed at the Law Faculty of Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena on Coimbra Group Hospitality Scheme scholarship.

Professor Drakić Ph.D. participated in 6 international scientific conferences.

Area of academic interest: criminal mental capacity (incapacity, diminished mental capacity), security measures, sentence of probation, judicial reprimand.

He published 3 books and 30 academic articles.
