Zoran Arsić, Ph.D. Full Professor

Born in 1952 in Novi Sad. He graduated from the Law Faculty in Novi Sad in 1974. He received LL.M. in commercial law from the same faculty of law in 1978 with thesis “Publishing Contract”. He also received LL.M. degree from the Columbia University (New York, USA) in 1979. He defended his doctoral dissertation “Legal Relationships Arising From the Combined Transportation of Goods” at the Novi Sad Faculty of Law in 1981. He was elected for the assistant in 1975, promoted to assistant professor in 1981, to associate professor in 1987, and to the full professor in 1992. Professor Zoran Arsić, Ph.D. teaches Commercial Law both to law students and students of the group for Internal Affairs. He also teaches Commercial Law at the Faculty of Agriculture – Group for Agriculture and Economics. He was mentor to a number of LL.M. and doctoral candidates. He was Vice Dean of the Novi Sad Faculty of Law. He is a member of the Scholarly and Academic Council and Faculty Senate.

Dušanka Đurđev, Ph.D. Full Professor

Born in Pančevo in 1952. She graduated from the Novi Sad Faculty of Law in 1976 where she received her LL.M. degree in 1980 with thesis “Contract on Transportation of Goods in Inland Navigation”. In 1984 she defended her doctoral dissertation “Contractual Liability of a Railway Shipper Arising from the Transportation Contract” at the Novi Sad Faculty of Law. She was elected for the assistant at the Commercial Law Department in 1976 and promoted to assistant professor in 1985, to associate professor in 1990, and to the full professor in 1995. She teaches International Commercial Law both to law students and students of the group for Internal Affairs. She also teaches elective course in International Sale of Goods.

She served as Director of the Institute for Commercial Law.

Professor Dušanka Đurđev, Ph.D. is a member of Yugoslav Association for International Law, Yugoslav Association for EU Law, Association of Business Lawyers of Yugoslavia, Association of Lawyers of Novi Sad, Serbia, and Yugoslavia. She has been mentor to a number of LL.M. and Ph.D. candidates.

Area of academic interest: international traffic law, foreign investments, arbitrations.

Drago Divljak, Ph.D. Full Professor

Born in Dobrinja in 1962. He graduated from the Novi Sad Faculty of Law in 1987. He received his LL.M. degree from the same faculty with thesis entitled “Legal Status of Companies with Limited Liability in Yugoslav and Comparative Law” in 1992. In 1999 he defended his doctoral dissertation “Legal Protection of Interests and Resolution of Conflicts of Interests in Trade Organizations – Yugoslav and Comparative Perspective” at the Novi Sad Faculty of Law. In 1988 he was elected for the assistant at the Novi Sad Faculty of Law, and promoted to the position of an assistant professor in 2000 and associate professor in 2005. He teaches International Commercial Law.

Areas of his interests are: law of trade organizations, investments, customs act.

Associate Professor Drago Divljak, Ph.D. is the author or co-author of several books and more than 60 scholarly and academic writings.

Sandra Fišer Šobot, Ph.D. Assistant Professor

Sandra Fišer Šobot graduated from Novi Sad Faculty of Law in December 2001. She received the scholarship of the Norwegian Royal Embassy as one of the best 1,000 students in the Republic of Serbia in the course of her studies and the award as one of the most successful students in 2002.

In July 2004 she finished Post-graduate specialist Course in International Trade and Business law incl. the Law of European Union, the Law of the World Trade Organization and International Commercial Arbitration Law at Asser College Europe in The Hague, The Netherlands. In 2003 she enrolled postgraduate studies at the Novi Sad Faculty of Law and passed oral LL.M. exam with honors in February 2005. In November 2006 she received LL.M. degree from the Novi Sad Faculty of Law with thesis “Legal nature of a patent as a subjective right”. In 2010, she defended her doctoral dissertation “Liability of the seller for the delivery of the goods in international and domestic law” at Novi Sad Faculty of Law.

Her university career began in 2003 when she was elected to the position of teaching assistant at Novi Sad Faculty of Law. In 2007 she was promoted to assistant and to assistant professor in 2013.

She teaches courses in Trade Law and International Sales Law at the undergraduate studies, as well as elective course Competition Law at the master studies. She also gives practical lessons to students in International Commercial Law, Corporate Law and Trade Law.

For the last three years she has been coaching the Novi Sad Faculty of Law team for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. She has acted as an arbitrator for several years in Belgrade Open Pre-Moot.

She is the secretary of the postgraduate commercial law studies program.

Areas of her academic interest: international and national sales law, competition law, industrial property law, international commercial arbitration.

Graduated from Novi Sad Faculty of Law in 2002. Received his LL.M. degree from the same Faculty with thesis entitled “Legal Nature of Insurance Agreement” in 2006. He defended his doctoral dissertation “Public Offers of Securities” in 2010.

Prof. Marjanski was elected to the position of associate professor in 2016.

Area of his academic interest: Company Law, Capital Market Law, Insurance law

He gives lectures in Company Law, Trade Law, Stock-Exchange Law and Banking Law.

He is the secretary of the Publishing centre of Novi Sad Faculty of Law.
