Marija Salma, Ph.D. Full Professor

Born in Novi Sad in 1952. She received her law degree from the Novi Sad Faculty of Law in 1975. She received her LL.M. degree with distinction from the Belgrade Law Faculty in 1983 with thesis “Civil Procedure in Cases of Minor Value”. At the same faculty of law she defended her doctoral dissertation “Preliminary Questions in Civil Procedure”. In 1976 she started her teaching career as the assistant at Department of Civil Law of the Novi Sad Faculty of Law. She was promoted to the position of assistant professor in 2000. Professor Salma was promoted to the position of associate professor in 2005. She teaches Civil Procedure both to law students and students of the Group for Internal Affairs.

Inter-universities co-operation programme enabled her to visit University “Jozef Attila” Faculty of Law (Szeged, Hungary).

She is a member of the Association of Lawyers of Serbia.

Languages: Hungarian, German.

Area of academic interest: civil procedure.

She published several books and around 80 academic articles and scholarly writings.
