Danica Popov, Ph.D. Full Professor

Born in Skoplje in 1952. She graduated from the Novi Sad Faculty of Law in 1974 where she also received her LL.M. degree in 1979 having defended LL.M. thesis titled “Self-Management Workers’ Control”. She defended her doctoral dissertation “Contract on Purchase of Investment Equipment” in 1985 at the Novi Sad Faculty of Law. In 1975 she was elected for the assistant at the Department of Commercial Law. In 1988 she was elected to the position of assistant professor at the Department of Civil Law where she was promoted to associate professor in 1998 and to full professor in 2003. Professor Danica Popov, Ph.D. teaches courses in Civil Law (general part & property) both to law students and students of the Internal Affairs studies group.

In 1979 she visited the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in London.

She served as judge at the Court of Honor of the regional Chamber of Commerce in Novi Sad.

Area of academic interest: civil law (general part), property and commercial law.

Professor Danica Popov is the author/co-author of several books and over 80 academic articles.
