Jelena Vidić Trninić, Ph.D., Assistant Professor

 

Born in Šabac in 1974. She graduated from the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Law in 1998. During her studies, she was rewarded by the Government of the Republic of Serbia as one of the best students in Serbia. For outstanding results during the course of her studies, she was the recipient of a scholarship from the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

After her bachelor studies she served as law clerk at the Municipal Court in Novi Sad.She was elected as the Teaching Assistant for the course Inheritance Law in 2001, promoted to Assistant in 2005, to Assistant Professor in 2011 and to Associate Professor in 2016.In 2005 she received her LL.M. degree from University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Law with thesis “Forced Inheritance in Domestic and Comparative Law”. In 2010 she defended her doctoral dissertation “The Succession Law Consequences of the Kinship, Marital and Extramarital Relationships” at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law.

At the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Law she teaches courses: Inheritance Law and Family Law of undergraduate studies for both, General legal and Internal affairs studies; at Master studies she teaches elective course Comparative Intestate Inheritance LawandInheritance Law;and at PhD studies she teaches Comparative Intestate Inheritance Law and Inheritance Law – selected topics.

She participated in the several scientific research projects, conferences and seminars.

Area of her academic interest: Inheritance Law, Comparative Inheritance Law.

She is the author of about 50 academic articles.
