Prof. Bugarski was born in Novi Sad in 1975. She graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Novi Sad in 2000. She has obtained Magister of Laws degree by defending thesis ‘Models of Investigation Procedure in Contemporary Criminal Law’. She holds Ph.D. degree from 2006, when she graduated from the Law Facutly of the University of Novi Sad having defended her doctoral dissertation ‘Specifics of Criminal Procedure for the Organized Crime, Corruption and Terrorism’.

In regard to her scientific work, she has published more than 100 scientific papers, she is autor/co-author of several monographies and co-author of a book. She has participated in many national and international scientific conferences. In 2004. she has been on Sicily (Syracuse) and on that ocassion she has successfully completed a specialized course  Diritto Penale Internazionale: Cooperazione Internazionale in Materia Penale. Also, she took part in high number of scientific projects.

Prof. Bugarski performed important social activities and functions: Vice-Dean for international cooperation of the Law Faculty of University of Novi Sad (2008-2009 and 2009-2011); Vice-Dean for study affairs of the Law Faculty of University of Novi Sad (2011-2012, 2012-2015, 2015-2018 and 2018-); Head of the Ph.D. academic studies – Public Law at the  Law Facutly of University of Novi Sad (2011-); A member of the Committee for Quality Assurance and Internal Evaluation (permanent assisting body of the Senate of the University of Novi Sad) (2010-2013); Vice-President of  the Committee for Quality Assurance and Internal Evaluation of the University of Novi Sad (2015-); Vice-President of the Experts Council for social sciences of the Senate of the University of Novi Sad (2016-2019); President of the  Experts Council for social sciences of the Senate of the University of Novi Sad (2019-); A member of the Programme Council of ACIMSI Centre  (2012-2015); Vice-President of Programme Council of the Centre for Multidisciplinary Studies of forensic ‘Dr Arčibald Rajs‘ within ACIMSI Centre (2016-2019); A member of the Programme Council of the Centre for Research and Development of Electronic Administration Technologies  -  CeGOVTeCH – of the Univeristy of Novi Sad (2015-2019); Head of the Programme of practice of students of the Law Facutly of the University of Novi Sad; Coordinator of the Legal Clinic for Environmental Protection and coordinator of the Legal Clinic for Fight Against Human Trafficking; A member of the Department for Social Sciences of the ‘Matica srpska’ in Novi Sad; A member of the Presidency of the Serbian Association for Criminal Law and Practice; A member of the Editorial Board of the journal of Collected Papers of the Law Faculty of the University of Novi Sad; A member of the Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance within the National Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education (2018-) and Vice-President of the Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance within the National Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education (2019-).

Prof. Bugarski has participated in three working groups for drafting the laws: Working Group for preparing a draft of the Law on Amendments and Supplement of the Criminal Procedure Code (2012), Working Group for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in process of drafting the Law on Higher Education (2015) and Working Group for preparing a draft of the Law on Recognition and Equalization Foreign Higher Education Institutions’ Qualifications for the Purpose of Employment (2016). 

She speaks English.
